Photo Restoration and Enhancement

Contrary to popular belief, digital image restoration and photo repair is not about “computer magic”. It’s about art and hard work. A hundred years ago familes went to a local photographer and had a portrait taken. The photographer developed the prints and the family chose the ones they liked and had copies made from negatives. Very often an artist would be asked to recreate the photos as an oil or watercolour canvas for display. This is similar to digital restoration. Working from an original photo, print or negative ( subject to quality) our specialist “recreates” your image and transforms it back to its orginal state or it can be manipulated into what you envisage. State of the art software is used as our oil, brush and canvas – no computer magic, just artistry using computers as artists tools.
